Itinerary

Our travel counsellor will meet you on arrival at the Cochin International Airport. On the shores of modern Cochin lies a picture-perfect seaside neighborhood called Fort Kochi. Here you will be instantly transported to a different time period. This place is steeped in the history and culture of all who have occupied it through the ages. It was ruled by the Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British and Portuguese at different points in time.

In Fort Kochi, your travel guide will take you to popular sites like the Jewish Synagogue, The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry which depicts scenes from the Ramayana, St Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India, built in 1557 by the Portugese and the Chinese Fishing Nets.

Cochin is also a centre for Kerala arts and a great place to see a Kathakali dance performance. Some of them even let you watch the artists while they are doing their make-up, quite a fascinating sight! Spend an evening strolling through the delightful cobblestoned lanes of Fort Kochi, while there take in the aromas at the spice market, have a cup of coffee at one of the lovely cafes and enjoy the delicious local Malabar cuisine.

One of the most sought after destinations in South India, Munnar is paradise on Earth with its enchanting natural beauty. Blessed with nature's bounty, in Munnar you can lush greenery as far as your eyes can see!

While here we will see stunning waterfalls, rolling tea plantations, craggy peaks and fascinating wildlife. We will visit the Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and visit tea gardens and factory. You can also indulge in adventure activities like mountain biking, paragliding and trekking.

After breakfast we will drive 4 hours to Kumarakom, which is a cluster of islands on the Vembanad Lake, the biggest lake in Kerala Backwaters. The backwater regions of Kerala are one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.The tranquil backwater cruises are a once in a lifetime experience, where you can soak in nature in its finest form.

On arrival we will check into the Kettuvallum Houseboat for 2 nights, which will cruise through the backwater lakes, lagoons and rivers. Here you will get to see the rural village life, which thrives along the water. Spot the young ladies with their goats, a man casting his fishing net into cordoned off fish farms, and waving children. As you enjoy the beautiful nature, you will be served mouth watering delicacies prepared by the kitchen crew on the boat. On the 3rd day, the boat will reach Allepey. After breakfast check out of the houseboat and head to Cochin International Airport for your onward journey.
