Itinerary

You will get a warm welcome at the Cochin International Airport by our travel counsellor who will then assist you in your transfer to the Homestay. Overnight at Homestay. The effervescent seaside town of Cochin is the financial, commercial and industrial capital of Kerala and a world class port. Absorb the multiculturalism which is an amalgamation of Dutch, Jewish, British, Arab, and Chinese influences apparent in Cochin's culture, architecture and art.

After breakfast proceed for a tour of Cochin. You will behold the picturesque view of the beautifully silhouetted Chinese Fishing Nets over the clear waters of the sea, a sight unique to Kochi in all of Kerala. You will also get to soak in the old world colonial charm of Fort Kochi which has seen the rise and fall of many European powers. Its narrow cobbled streets are dotted with well preserved European structures, churches and charming cafes. You will be free to explore the town on your own in the evening.

After breakfast you will drive for 2 hours to reach Kumarakom, a cluster of little islands in the backwaters of Kerala. On arrival, you will stay in a gorgeous waterfront villa at Philipkutty's Farm which is set on a beautiful island where they produce banana, coconut, fruits and vegetables through sustainable farming practices. Enjoy the unique experience of a country boat taking you and your luggage across the backwater to the island.

Spend the day at Philipkutty's Farm fishing, walking around the organic farm, understanding the nuances of their local cuisine in a cooking demonstration or just chatting with the family to get insights into their lives and culture.

The Kerala backwaters consist of a network of many rivers, canals and natural water bodies that criss-cross the coastal belt to make a place of unmatched natural splendour. It is one of the first places to implement and practice sustainable tourism. You will spend the day exploring the vibrant local community, distinctive culture and the delicious local food here

After breakfast you will board a delightful Kettuvallum Houseboat to spend the night. Traverse the placid backwaters set amidst lush greenery and stop en route to soak in the breathtaking natural beauty and local village life activities. On the boat you will be served mouth watering delicacies prepared by the kitchen crew. Spend the night cruising leisurely under the moonlight.

After breakfast you will check out of the houseboat and drive 1.5 hours to the Cochin International airport where you will take a flight to your onward destination.
