Lose yourself in the tangle of old Delhi's winding streets which seamlessly blend into the beautifully structured Lutyen's Delhi with its imposing colonial structures. Behold the artistic eroticism in the sculptures and frescos of the ancient temples of Khajuraho. In Agra get mesmerized by the stunning Taj Mahal, one of the seven most beautiful wonders of the world. In the desert state of Jaipur, hear stories of intrigue and valour echoing in its forts, palaces and monuments. This tour will take you a step closer to unraveling the mystery that is India.

Itinerary

You will get a warm welcome at the Delhi International Airport by our travel counsellor who will then assist you in your hotel transfer and check-in. Overnight stay at the Hotel. Delhi is the flamboyant capital of India. The city is charming with its bustling bazaars and marvelous monuments steeped in history on one hand and a modern metropolitan with multinationals and an art hub on the other.

After breakfast, you can explore the busy streets of Chandni Chowk with its crumbling havelis, mouth watering food and timeworn places of worship on a cycle rickshaw. You will visit the majestic Red Fort resonating with Mughal history and culture. Prepare to be spell bound by the grandeur of Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia. You will be enchanted by Dilli Haat, a multicultural hub showcasing the art, craft, culture, and cuisines of the various Indian states.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to take a flight to Khajuraho. On arrival our travel counsellor will assist in hotel transfer and check-in. Built between 950 - 1050, the group of 20 temples of Khajuraho showcases the greatest masterpieces of medieval Indian architecture. Their intricate sculptures, carvings and frescos celebrating eroticism and sensuality will leave you spell bound and speechless! You can explore this fascinating historical town on your own in the evening.

You will visit the Western, Eastern and Southern group of Hindu and Jain temples. Get mesmerized by the architectural precision, expressive frescos and sculptural detailing of female beauty and erotic art. Conclude your day with a dramatic sound and light show presenting the history of the Khajuraho temples.

After breakfast you will have a 3 hour long drive to Orchha. Orchha means 'a hidden place' and true to its name, this historical town is one of the best kept secrets of Indian tourism. Built in 16th century on the banks of River Betwa, it was the seat of the powerful Bundela dynasty of yesteryears. Here you will explore spectacular temples, grand palaces and charming cenotaphs built in a unique Mughal-influenced Rajput architectural style.

Spend a leisurely morning exploring the charming town of Orchha on your own. In the evening you will board a train from Jhansi railway station to Agra. Our travel counsellor will greet you at the Agra railway station and assist your check-in and transfer to the hotel

At sunrise you will be mesmerized by one of the finest edifices of Mughal architecture, the breathtaking Taj Mahal. Referred by Rudyard Kipling as "the embodiment of all things pure," this stunning ivory white structure stands tall as an ode to eternal love.

After breakfast, you will visit the massive Red Fort of Agra built by emperor Akbar on the banks of river Yamuna. You can also explore the buzzing local markets to shop for artifacts and marble handicrafts as souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones.

Later you will undertake the 5 hour drive to Jaipur. En route, you will stop to explore the magnificent fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO world heritage site. This deserted city will transport you to the intriguing Mughal era. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jaipur.

The pink hued city of Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the semi-desert state of Rajasthan. Its magnificent forts, palaces and monuments reflect the glorious history and grand opulence of the land. Also, the colourful, busy bazaars can charm visitors from across the globe

After breakfast you will undertake a morning excursion to the magnificent Amber Fort. Enter this fort resonating with Rajputana history and culture on elephant back. In the afternoon, tour the City Palace and its museum, the historical observatory of Jantar Mantar and the popular landmark, Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds.

After breakfast, you will drive on the busy Delhi-Jaipur Highway for 5 hours to reach the Delhi International Airport to board a flight to your onward destination.
